Rudyard Kipling\u2019s determination to send his myopic son Jack to war triggers a bitter family conflict which leaves Britain\u2019s renowned patriot devastated by the warrings of his own greatest passions: his love for children &#8211; above al<span class=\"text_exposed_show\">l his own &#8211; and his devotion to Kind and Country.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>\u2018My Boy Jack\u2019 was first staged at Hampstead Theatre, London, in 1997, with David Haig himself playing Rudyard Kipling.
