The show will run from 9-11 January 2015 at the Auderghem Cultural Centre in Brussels. It will be performed in English.<\/p>\n<p>Pantomime is a comedic genre that tells traditional folk tales through farce and musical theatre. We are looking for actors of all ages with a sense of fun, who enjoy high-energy theatre and cross-dressing. Whilst not essential, we will be interested in singing ability. The principal parts are:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Abanazar \u2013\u00a0<\/strong>An evil, yet insecure, sorcerer\u00a0<strong>(male)<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>Widow Twankey \u2013\u00a0<\/strong>a poor washer woman in Old Peking<strong>\u00a0(male)<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>Aladdin \u2013\u00a0<\/strong>A young lad, pure of heart<strong>\u00a0(female)<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>Wishee Washee \u2013\u00a0<\/strong>Aladdin&#8217;s more sensible brother<strong>\u00a0(male\/female)<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>Princess Jasmine \u2013\u00a0<\/strong>A feisty young noblewomen<strong>\u00a0(female)<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>The Genie of the Lamp \u2013\u00a0<\/strong>A magical spirit<strong>\u00a0(male)<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>The Emperor \u2013\u00a0<\/strong>Jasmine&#8217;s rather irritable and long-suffering father<strong>\u00a0(male)<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>PC Jean and PC Jan \u2013\u00a0<\/strong>two dim-witted Belgian policemen\u00a0<strong>(male\/female)<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>\u00a0<\/strong>If you think you could bring these and other characters to life, please come and audition on:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Sunday 15 June at 14.00;<\/li>\n<li>Wednesday 18 June at 19:00;<\/li>\n<li>Saturday 21 June at 14:00;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>at the Warehouse, rue Waelhem 73, 1030 Brussels<\/p>\n<p>Please contact Henri Colens on 0479 671 766 for any further information or if you are interested in auditioning but cannot attend on any of the abovementioned dates.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The ECC will be holding auditions for its pantomime &#8216;Aladdin&#8216; in June.
